Ultrasound 1: Lower abdomen, transverse: Bladder is filled. Image shows an echo free structure on the right side, retrovesically.
<- view Ultrasound 2
Ultrasound 2: Lower abdomen, longitudinal: Tubular stucture cranio-lateral to the bladder, which is free of echos. Indicated tortuosity, no movement.
<- view Ultrasound 3
Ultrasound 3: Right flank, diagonally: Tubular tortuous structure without own movement. Large mass without echos.

Ultrasound 4: Anechoic structure with tubular tortuosity.

Ultrasound 5: This image shows the right kidney. The mass which is free of echoes reaches cranially.

Ultrasound 6: Right kidney without urinary obstruction.
<- view Ultrasound 7
Ultrasound 7: Cranial to the right kidney, there is an anechoic structure with thin parenchymal rim.

 | Diagnosis confirmation: | Surgery / Histo | |
 | Which DD would be also possible with the radiological findings: | Intestinal duplication | |
 | Course / Prognosis / Frequency / Other : | Prenatal diagnostic and postnatal confirmation of the findings. The duplicated renal collecting system on the right side with severe dilatation of the ureter. The small upper pole moiety was shown. The ectopic ureter was shown under cystoscopy. The ureter terminates in the posterior urethra.
Heminephrourectomy of the right side. | |
